Hello all,

Antonella and I met with Jemerson Trinidad today. We were also scheduled to meet Ahmad Haqqi at 17:15, but when he had still not arrived by 17:30 we decided to call it a day.

Once Antonella had left, Mr Haqqi turned up. He was 25 minutes late. He apologised and explained that he was delayed by traffic on his way over from Gatwick; he also said he tried to contact Glenn, but realise he had no number to reach him on. Antonella had reached home by his point, so I ended interviewing him on my own.

Here is my feedback for the two candidates:

Mr Trinidad seems like a nice guy and perfectly capable. However I wasn’t particularly impressed with him either. From what he told us I get the impression that he is quite complacent and not so interested in growing within his role or having more of a managerial role; this said, he has got experience as a main porter with managerial
responsibilities. He also lives in Queen Park, which is nearby and therefore handy; so perhaps it worth getting him in for a second interview. He also works just up the road, so it should be easy for him to come back for a second interview.

To note, Mr. Trinidad is looking to leave his current job because of his schedule and he would prefer not to work Saturdays. As previously discussed, we could allocate Aziz less hours during week days but ask him to cover Saturdays. For example, we could ask the main concierge to work Monday to Friday 07.30 to 16.30 and ask Aziz to work Monday to Friday 15.30 to 19.30 and then Saturdays 08.00 to 13.00 (this would equate to 25 hours a week as per the contract).

Mr Haqqi, gave me a better impression. As with Mr. Sinha, he comes across as bright and incentivised, with experience and an interest in a more managerial role. Although my first choice remains Mr Sinha, I think Mr Haqqi is with considering for a second interview.

So to reiterate, I would call in Mr Sinha, Mr Haqqi and Mr Trinidad for a second interview whereby Peter can also meet them and show them around the building.

I believe Mr Sinha is already scheduled in for a second interview. Glenn, could you please schedule in Mr Trinidad and Mr Haqqi for second interview next week?

Many thanks,

Delia.
