I would also like to add: seeing that we will only be “vetting” candidates at this stage (and we will then be holding a second interview, as a board, to select the final choice) then I am happy for the two of you to conduct all initial interviews, given that you both have previous experience in such matters and are therefore better suited. 

Naturally, I am happy to “fill in” if one or the two of you is not available.
