Keep this Proof of Cover, the original sales receipt for your Apple product and the included AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss Terms and Conditions. Proof of purchase may be required if there is any question regarding your Apple product’s eligibility for AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss cover.
AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss cover starts from the purchase date of your AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss policy, and your Cover End Date will be automatically adjusted to two years from the date when you first activate your iPhone. AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss benefits are in addition to any rights you may have under consumer law. Please see the attached AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss Insurance Documentation for complete product details. In particular, please note that if you make a claim for hardware, theft or loss cover, each claim will be subject to a policy excess of £ 25 for screen or back glass damage, £ 79 for all other damage, or £ 109 for theft or loss.
Theft and loss cover requires you to have Find My iPhone enabled on your device at the time when it is lost or stolen. Find My iPhone should remain enabled, and your iPhone should remain associated with your Apple ID throughout the theft or loss claim process. During the theft or loss claims process, you will be asked to erase your missing device, disable it and transfer ownership before you can be issued a new device.
To ensure you can sign in and access Find My iPhone, it’s important to remember your Apple ID and password and keep your account information up to date. If you use two-factor authentication for Apple ID, it’s recommended that you add an additional trusted phone number to your account so that you can receive the 6-digit verification code required to sign in even if your iPhone is missing. To find out more, visit the links to using Find My iPhone and two-factor authentication for Apple ID, below.
