<html><head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"></head><body style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; line-break: after-white-space;" class="">Dear all,<div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">With regards to the refurbishment, please note the following:</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">The surveyors, Matthews & Son, have submitted the Specifications of Works to the contractor companies on 1st October 2018. I will forward you Harry’s email to the tenders along with the Pre-construction Information.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">The deadline for tender submission is Tuesday 16 October.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">The revised deadline for works to commence is mid-end November.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">I have requested that works commence in the East Wing hallway on the 6th floor (between Flat 37 & 38), so that we may use this area to approve the colours, finish and quality and use this as a gauge for the rest of the building.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">I have selected the colours for the flat entrance doors and walls and am working with the vinyl company to get as close a match as possible. They will be making a full-size sample to be applied to one of the doors (front door Flat 37) that we can review in situ before they go into production for the remaining 37 flats. </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">With regards to the wall, having considered several options, I personally believe we should stick with polished plaster. It is extremely hard-wearing and rather effective at hiding marks and scuffs etc. It is also cost-effective. Naturally, we will be getting rid of the ghastly blood orange colour.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Harry’s email to tenders which I will send you shortly includes time-frames, but for quick reading I have included it below:</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""><ul type="disc" style="margin-bottom: 0cm; margin-top: 0cm;" class=""><li class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;"><span lang="EN-GB" class="">Vinyl Revolution (flat entrance doors) <b class="">approx</b>. time frames; </span>Based on 39no doors – 5 days<span lang="EN-GB" class=""><o:p class=""></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;">Polished Plaster (walls) – <b class="">approx. </b>time frame; dependent on program and work method 4-5 days per wing<span lang="EN-GB" class=""><o:p class=""></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;">Marble Shine (floor cleaning) 2-3 weeks work</li></ul><div class=""><font face="Calibri, sans-serif" class=""><span style="font-size: 14.666666984558105px;" class=""><br class=""></span></font></div><div class=""><div class="">Please note that there will be preparatory work ahead of this, especially with regards to the cracking on the walls either side of the lift shaft on floors 1- 6 on the East Wing.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">On Tuesday 9th October Marble Shine will be carrying out some sample works in the main lobby as well as the sixth floor East Wing.
