<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-fareast-language:EN-GB">Following on from the email below I would like to advise that Aspect Lifts were in attendance yesterday and fitted the necessary cabling to rectify their one main element of the required works.
They will be returning tomorrow morning with the Chubb fire alarm engineer to ensure that the connection between the lift and fire alarm is secure and functioning as it required.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-fareast-language:EN-GB"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-fareast-language:EN-GB">Hopefully there will no be no unforeseen issues and once signed off by both engineers it is hoped that the lift will be returned to normal service tomorrow.

<p class="MsoNormal"><b><u><span style="mso-fareast-language:EN-GB">Please be aware that the fire alarm will be tested and will sound around the block</span></u></b><span style="mso-fareast-language:EN-GB"> whilst a full test is carried out. This will be
<b><u>sometime after 11:00</u></b> and as directed by the two engineers. If you have any concerns with the alarm sounding please speak with the porters as they will be with the engineers and have active updates.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-fareast-language:EN-GB">I am pleased to advise that Chubb and Aspect were both back on site again today and were able to rectify the interface connection issue with the West and Garage lifts and both are now back in service.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-fareast-language:EN-GB"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-fareast-language:EN-GB">Unfortunately some cabling work is required to rectify the connection issue on the East lift and the lift remains out of service until this has been completed. Aspect will be on site in the morning
dealing with their element and once completed Chubb will return to ensure the connection to the fire alarm is secure and functioning as required.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:black">Following on from last nights email below, I am pleased to advise that a cancellation has been secured with the Chubb for the specialist fire alarm technician to attend, and can confirm that he will be attending
on Monday.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:black"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:black">The technician will be testing the interface and connection between the lifts and fire alarm and whilst on site it is possible that the alarms may be triggered and sound around the block. He is expected on site
between 1pm – 2pm and is hoped he can identify the issue.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:black"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:black">Unfortunately the lifts remain out of service until the problem can be resolved but please be assured that once we are in receipt of the engineers report a further update can be provided. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:black">The teams have endeavoured to rectify the issue but believe there is an interface connection issue between the lifts and the fire alarm and a specialist alarm technician needs to attend to locate the fault and
device. The lift team have no choice but to put safety first and have had to take the lifts out of service until this can be remedied.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
