** Blood Type Linked To COVID Severity

Did you know that certain blood types are associated with higher risks of some diseases? This includes heart disease and some forms of cancer.

Earlier this year during the first wave, studies indicated that the risk of severe COVID-19 infection may also be related to certain blood types. Over the past couple of weeks, additional research was published (https://sequencing.us10.list-manage.com/track/click?u=1c0e3379e8beec67d80bceb2a&id=25a780a22a&e=1a72379e92) that further supports the link between blood type and COVID-19 severity.

The studies found that individuals with blood type O have a lower risk of infection while those with blood type A or AB have an increased risk of more severe COVID infection.
