Hi Yvonne,
I do understand the reservations expressed by you and others.
I will tell Nkolika what we want and she can advise how we should go about
it. I'll feed this back to all of you so that you know what is going on and
have the chance to respond.
I agree that we want to achieve our objectives without risking a legal
battle with Adrian.
Cheers,
Glenn.

Dear Glenn,
I think we shifted some good stuff yesterday.
However the Adrian thing has been playing on my mind since then, but (and I
know you were going to speak to Nkolika) it would be remiss of me not to
repeat how bad I feel it would be to advertise any kind of porter's job that
Adrian could have conceivably applied for without residency, had he wanted
to. It would make a mockery of the redundancy process that we have all
lived with these last months. We must at all costs avoid even a possible
whisper of unfair dismissal. Therefore we have to show we are downgrading
the desk service pro tem on financial reasons and shifting our needs to
outside cleaners and the managing agents, whom we already pay.
First we need to solve the Aziz problem.
Also I do happen to agree with Antonella that a full day split between two
is a good idea.
If Peter & Delia's contact wishes to apply for a job on an ostensibly
downgraded description, but "make" the job his own - this is certainly a
possibility certainly worth exploring. But, I repeat, we must be careful
not to rush into this.
The good news is that Adrian has finally finished his clearing out.
See you next month, if not before!
Regards,
Yvonne
