Hello All,
I sent a copy of the progress report to Nkolika, highlighting any sections that mentioned the resident caretaker or porter service. (Please see attached).
I asked Nkolika to have a look to double check the wording and advise us accordingly.
She sent the reply below! Basically, she suggested not to mention the Caretaker/ Porter Service at all!
I called her to discuss in more detail and to let her know that we cannot not mention anything… after all it is a progress report, and the redundancy of the caretaker and the new porter service are fundamental elements of this. I explained that our main concern is to not write anything in such manner that could be used against us. At the same time, we cannot not mention it altogether! I explained, that we want to come across as transparent as possible; after all, we don't have anything to hide, and we don’t want the leaseholders thinking we are being secretive and therefore question our trustworthiness.
Nkolika will ask her colleague, Robert Haggis, to take a look and revert back to me by tomorrow morning.
Nkolika’s concern, as she mentions in her email below, is the possibility and probability that what we have written may open a string of questions from some of the leaseholders, which we will not be at liberty to disclose. I suggested that should this happen, and it most probably will, we will answer just that: that we are not at liberty to disclose such information.
I also suggested that Glenn (who will be chairing the meeting) speaks with Nkolika ahead of the EGM to confirm what we can and can’t say and how to respond.
I will update you all once I hear back from Nkolika tomorrow… and hopefully be able to send the necessary across to Oliver before the end of the day.
Kind Regards,
Delia.

I am also of the view that if you give any of the residents and inch they will take a mile and potentially you will be opening yourself up to questions that may be difficult to answer at the EGM itself.

Some of those decisions and actions are set out within this report however there other decisions and actions which we are unfortunately not at liberty to disclose as we are bound by confidential and legal restrictions.

I have highlighted the areas that I think are relevant in this matter, but if you don’t mind scanning the report to ensure I haven’t missed anything.
