Antonella,

You are persisting with this discussion and I feel forced to defend our position. Please understand that I, Delia and Peter do have a lot of goodwill towards you and we want to discuss your involvement with the board at the next meeting.

But what are you suggesting? I think you should be careful when making accusations and circulating them.

In the first draft of minutes Delia had said you and I would recruit and interview. This was a mistake as it suggests that Delia and Peter would not be included in the process. So I gave Delia my feedback that, in my opinion, we agreed you and I would interview Steven Branch but Delia and Peter and I would interview other candidates.

Delia does her best and, in fact, she does a great job of reflecting as accurately as possible what we say and agree at board meetings. She does however rely on our feedback and, if you were of the opinion that the final minutes did not reflect accurately what was said, then you should say so immediately. 

I am not aware that Beatrice was a member of the board at the time of the last meeting.

Glenn,

Delia`s original and faithful version of the minutes was different. All the directors have it on record.

This is the revised version, made after you asked Delia to change her minutes asking her to describe my role as your “assistant”.

There were few eyebrows raised about such diminishing role assignment, but I personally found the matter quite amusing in its disrespect and we decided to gloss over it and “do not open a case”.

Glenn,

The issue here is that you assume that we should agree with your opinion from the outset and therefore we should act accordingly.

This is also why we keep having the same discussion.

We are also looking forward to constructing a board that can meet regularly, make decisions and take on roles and responsibilities.

Yes, sorry but I decided quite late in the process that we should add another day the following week as 3rd and 4th were very short notice. Please let us know if you are available on the 9th to interview Mr Jemerson and perhaps, to conduct 2nd interviews with chosen candidates earlier in the day.

Glenn,

I understand that scheduling appointments it`s time-consuming and can be confusing….nevertheless we have never been asked (to both our email addresses) the Fabris' availabilities for the week of the 8th. We are always very keen to fulfil our board duties, but it is simply disrespectful to be considered the “replacement" of other directors. It is so disheartening to be on the receiving side of such a low standard of social interaction.

On another and related, topic, to keep planning all Board’s meetings around only a couple of directors' agenda could be quite frustrating for the other directors. Happy to discuss this topic at the next board meeting and to help to revise the Board schedule.

With reference to the two email addresses used, sorry if you got confused. As far as you and the OWG board members are concerned, both  <mailto:antonella at santini.co.uk> antonella at santini.co.uk and  <mailto:family at fabris.co.uk> family at fabris.co.uk are used by the Fabris family, unless stated otherwise in the single email. I hope this clarifies the emails matter.

The first interviews should be a filtering process and two people can decide if someone is a reasonable possibility or not. When a candidate is considered to be a strong possibility I agree that it’s useful for as many of us as possible to see him, so I expect that all four of us will talk to the stronger candidates.

I’m sorry if you already sent me an email about Monday and Tuesday but, up till today, we hadn’t planned those days so it didn’t register with me. I still get so many emails that it’s easier to ask again rather than go through earlier emails trying to find something. In your case it is even more difficult as you use two different email addresses.

It would make sense if each director could meet as many candidates as possible.
