Good afternoon everyone,
Please find attached a report from London Basement Pumps with regards to the water pump works scheduled for Thursday and the following update from the OWGM Board.
Proposed Precautions to Implement During the Covid19 Threat
We will change the caretaker/porter shifts to enable them to travel during lighter underground traffic.
We plan to place sanitiser near reception so that visitors can use it on the way in. Asad tells us he can't leave anything on the counter as it will get stolen so we either have to chain the container or get a wall mounted sanitiser dispenser which will take a little longer. WBM say that sanitisers are freely available in their building and they do not get stolen.
Asad already sprays quite a lot of "touch" spots in the communal areas every morning, we will ask him and Aziz to spray and wipe every two hours (or so) all door handles, lift buttons, etc as soon as we can get sufficient Dettol spray.
We will ask Asad and Aziz to maintain a one or two meter distance from all residents and visitors and we suggest that all residents and visitors do the same. Maybe put a sign up.
We will also advise people to refrain from handshakes and other contact as well as reinforcing the wash hands mantra.
To avoid delivery people walking round the building we need to really insist that people come to reception to pick up their parcels. Therefore we propose to lock the inner doors at all times when we have no caretaker or porter on duty.
Whereas most of us can order food (either groceries or meals) online we may need to assist those who are not so computer literate. Please note that Deliveroo are offering a no contact drop off service in which they leave the delivery outside the building for people to pick up.
With respect to those in isolation either due to government regulations (eg: over 70s) or because a member of the household has contracted covid19, we will ask the caretaker and porter to offer a daily shopping list duty where they can collect any shopping requests from them and either place the order online or go to the local shops. They will then drop the shopping by the residents' doors and then notify them that it is there.
Anna and Delia have offered to help residents where necessary, so we will distribute their phone numbers to all residents who are self isolating / housebound. We can add any other residents who are willing to offer similar assistance.
It will be a concern if Asad or Aziz get infected, not only for their health but also for the building. We may ask our ex-porter Eddie to fill in if necessary. Westbourne point out that Eddie is retired and could be more vulnerable to the threat.
We will order more rubbish bags so that we keep sufficient in stock.
If you have any queries with regards to the aforementioned please do not hesitate to contact us.
Kind regards,
Lynette
